The two primary Klargester systems are the Bio Disc and the Airflow system.
Shown right is the Klargester Bio Disc arrangement which creates a large surface area for the natural bacteria required to break down the effluent in the waste that comes into the system. This works in a similar way to many large scale odour free industrial systems used in the UK by the large water companies. The trick here is to create a large surface area for the bacteria to thrive on whilst keeping the physical size of the system to a minimum.

The
Klargester systems are quiet, odour free and require little
maintenance. Their other main benefits are that they require much
less space than a traditional septic tank system and the final
output is less deemed clean enough to go straight into a water
course.
